WorkAfterBreak is here for people who are trying to return to work after time away — and want honest, practical support without pressure.
Whether your break was for parenting, caregiving, relocation, burnout, health, or life simply changing shape, this space was created to help you move forward with more clarity and less overwhelm.
Returning to work is not just a job search
Coming back after a career break often looks simple from the outside.
Update your resume. Apply for jobs. Move on.
But in real life, it is rarely that straightforward.
Returning to work can bring up questions about confidence, identity, timing, flexibility, finances, and how to talk about the gap itself. Many people are carrying real responsibilities while trying to figure out what work can look like now.
WorkAfterBreak was created to make that process feel clearer, steadier, and less lonely.
This is a place for practical guidance, realistic encouragement, and support that respects the fact that starting again can feel big.

This work is personal to me
My career break began when I became pregnant, and then the pandemic changed everything. Because my husband and I were living abroad without family nearby, we made the decision that I would step away from my career to care for our son full-time.
It was the right choice for our family, but returning to work later came with more emotional weight than I expected. It was not only about finding a job again. It was also about confidence, identity, explaining the gap, and trying to understand what kind of work fit my life now.
I remember how isolating that felt, especially when so much of the advice available seemed generic and disconnected from the real experience of starting over.
That is why I created WorkAfterBreak.
What began as my own challenge became my mission: to help others return to work after a career break with more clarity, confidence, and compassionate support.
Because this journey is personal. And no one should have to navigate it alone.
Practical support, step by step
WorkAfterBreak brings together the kind of guidance many people wish they had when trying to re-enter work.
Whether you are just thinking about returning or already applying, the aim is to make the process feel less intimidating and more possible.
You are not starting from nothing
If you are returning to work after a career break, it makes sense if this feels emotional, unfamiliar, or hard to name.
WorkAfterBreak is here to help you begin again with clarity, self-respect, and support that feels real.
